Introducing Feminist Frameworks – some online modules for your feminist learning!

For those wanting a crash course on some of my favorite feminist articles and key concepts that have framed my own thinking, two online courses are now available through Colorado State University Online as a non-credit badge program. Together, they are a highly-condensed dive into fundamental pieces from my courses on feminist theory and feminist friendship.

Check out Introducing Feminist Frameworks!

Creating these lectures through 2018 felt like a throwback to the grad school days of making YouTube videos in my apartment, but it was made immensely better with my pal, Lydia Page, working the camera and creating the learning modules (and becoming one of my favorite feminist friends to date! What a lucky turn of events to have her assigned as the instructional designer on this project!).

Full disclosure: These aren’t surface level training videos – they are academic, theoretical, and geared toward those looking to learn, think, and read more critically about gender and feminist theory.

Increasing access to such resources has long been one of my driving values. Although we couldn’t make the courses totally cost free, they are available to CSU employees at a more than 50% discount.

I hope they can be of value to you and others who are seeking more opportunities to learn (especially in a time when it is so important that we all continue to do so).

And in case you’re wondering, I don’t personally receive any portion of tuition registration costs, though a portion does go back to the gender equity initiatives I lead at CSU through the Women & Gender Collaborative. This was a labor of love, passion, and commitment to the cause!
